Where are my ICCs in Photosho CS6?
« on: January 19, 2016, 04:58:04 pm »

I recently bought a Canon IPF6400 and am still learning about it. I bought two packs of sample papers, one by Moab and one by Canson. I downloaded all the ICC profiles from each of the papers listed and put them in what I think is the correct folder for the printer.

However, when I click on the profile dropdown on Photoshop, only 2 of the profiles show up:

Where should the ICC files go after being downloaded?
Any help would be much appreciated...thank you very much.

You don't say exactly where you put them or what OS you are running but in Windows they go in this folder:

C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\color

If you're on a Mac then someone else will have to help.

Good luck with your new printer.

Yes, profiles are a system wide thing, not related to the application. On a Mac they would be in the Colorsync/Profiles folder.
Surely there were instructions with the profiles.

like Bob said, on Mac's they should be..........

/Users/yourusername/Library/ColorSync/Profiles

you may need to make the Profiles folder if it doesn't already exist.

The profiles will only be visible to you (yourusername).  If you have other users that might need them, they go into the system level
profile folder.
