Should I move forward with COPro9? (iMac 5k retina user)
« on: January 19, 2016, 02:03:11 pm »

I have been reading all of the posts related to performance of Capture Pro on the iMac retina. My trial period ran out while I was involved in some personal issues. My computer is a new iMac Retina 5k late 2015, 16gb memory, fusion drive and 4ghz intel core i7. Based on the commentaries I am somewhat reluctant to move forward. I suppose I could sign up for the 3 month $25 per month subscription and see how it goes. For those of you who have been customers for some time have you had good experiences getting issues like this resolved in future releases?
Thanks!!!

I have a similar configuration and have no problems running C1 v9. I *do* have a lot more RAM, but RAM is cheap, and I don't think more than 16GB is necessary for most operations. What reservations do you have?

Thanks for the reply. I have been following the string of comments on the Phase One forum related to quite a few having issues. Here is the link: http://forum.phaseone.com/En/viewtopic.php?f=61&t=21729&sid=22fc7c6b3845440f2a7d5dd64fdb6ce3

My trial period ran out
the quite legal way to continue your trial to test C1 is to download raw files for MFs from P1 (for example DT posted quite a collection) and use C1 in DB mode for your testing

Medium format files from phase one backs can be processed by selecting that option in activation. That gives full acess and processing for those files indefinately, free, in all versions.

Another dumb question...is DT a user? I did a search and didn't find that user.
Thanks.
