Happy New Year from Yosemite

My wife is always up for a wintery cold overnight over New Year's Eve.  It was a bit cold and of course it got dark quite early making for a long night of sleep.  Still there is something magical about winter mountain light.

And of course on the way home, I had to stop to admire the black oaks in El Capitan Meadow.

Great set, and a great way to spend new years eve. No doubt about it, that light is spectacular. Makes me ashamed to say I spent NY eve lounging next to my fireplace sipping a very fine bourbon. Happy New Year!
