Happy New Year from Yosemite
« on: January 02, 2016, 01:00:26 pm »

My wife is always up for a wintery cold overnight over New Year's Eve.  It was a bit cold and of course it got dark quite early making for a long night of sleep.  Still there is something magical about winter mountain light.

And of course on the way home, I had to stop to admire the black oaks in El Capitan Meadow.

Great set, all. My favorite is 4334: great composition with the near trees encircling the distant ones.

Thanks for looking Eric and all the best to your health this year!  Here is the same grove of trees but in early summer.

Great set, and a great way to spend new years eve. No doubt about it, that light is spectacular. Makes me ashamed to say I spent NY eve lounging next to my fireplace sipping a very fine bourbon. :) Happy New Year!

All good but the shot of the Black Oaks is actually a cracking shot - to me a potential completion winner!
And the more one looks at it the better it gets too!

Congratulations Hugh
