align_image_stack options question
« on: December 28, 2015, 09:26:33 pm »

I am new here. Hello.

I am using align_image_stack version 2015.0.0. I am taking a sequence of 300 dpi tif images to try and achieve higher resolution after alignment and averaging. I do get aligned images but at 150 dpi. I then tried using the option -s scale with scale set to zero, that is "-s 0" no quotes though. Everything executed but without any change. Files sizes were identical to default. For a lark I tried "-s=0". I expected an error message but everything ran fine, but no changes from the original result. Again files sizes were the same as before. My reasoning is that if 2^scale = 1 when scale = 0, so there should not be any downsampling.

It is as if this option is being ignored. Of course it might be user error. Any guidance/suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks, Ian

I suspect that the problem arises due to your not using the original RAW files...I cannot get psd files to align and merge either.
