Can you import a PM5 profile into a Z3200ps paper preset?
« on: December 23, 2015, 12:55:50 pm »

I made a couple of profiles in PM5 and when I attempted to import them into the paper preset I got a "Profile not valid" message.
Can anyone help?
Thanks

No idea, the APS or Color Center profiles are satisfying enough for me and they can be bound to the paper preset if needed. The import to the paper preset is not needed if you have application color management in your workflow. It is different of course if more systems use the printer and the profile can be distributed more easily to all of them that way.

Were they .oms files?

You can only import .oms files and they go ONLY into "additional papers" folder.

EDIT:  Even if you do import a .oms profile, you won't be able to use it as a preset.  I've tried and knocked myself out doing so.

What Ernst says is wise.  Use the guidelines for making profiles and it should be good- excellent in fact.
