I've just been having a look at Epson's SC-P400 and have written up some thoughts about using it if anyone is curious
http://www.northlight-images.co.uk/reviews/printer/epson_sc-p400-printer.htmlHaving now looked at the P800/600/400 this year they make a good range of printers - I'm not such a fan of glossy colour prints, but using the gloss optimiser of the 400 does make me wish I had something like it on my iPF8300 sometimes ;-)
Much as when I looked at the R2000 a while ago, I was very impressed with the quality of B&W printed on matt papers, with just a custom profile (the Hi-gloss 2 ink set has just PK and MK black inks) Not my choice for B&W, but impressive nonetheless.
