mamiya quitting the photographic business?

From several reports and automatic translations of statements in Japanese, it seems that Mamiya is abandoning its photographic business, selling related assets to a Cosmos Scientific, whoever that is.
Some links (revised)
imaging resource
(Added later.)

google translation from dc.watch.impress.co.jp
PDF of a Mamiya statement in Japanese
Can any one here read this and comment?

Yes, I saw this item this morning, too. Sad. Just as I was about to pull the trigger on a Mamiya MF camera. It seems that the camera world is speaking to me.

Well, that's what we were fearing after having tested the ZD....
As a long time Mamiya user this news are very sad!
The ZD was certainly their last chance. Long lasting promises without finally delivering.
Maybe they should have teamed up big time with Leaf?
What do we buy now? Imablad or Hasselcon?
The choice is yours....

When a business is sold,it doesn't mean the business is finished!
Leaf was bought by Kodak etc.
I can't see the problem.
However,I was going the H2 way anyhow.
I'm sure Mamiya will be around for a long time.
They have a lot of fans !
Cheers,
Willem.
