Using MBP with NEC External Display
« on: December 15, 2015, 04:42:38 pm »

Hi all. I've (finally) decided to switch from PC to Mac. The plan is to get a 15" rMBP and use it as both a desktop and laptop. I would pair it with a NEC PA display in the former use mode. Newbie question: Are there any surprise problems with profiling the NEC with Spectraview II and the retina display with i1profiler or Argyll? I've never tried using two profiling apps for display profiles concurrently on the same machine, since I have separate desktop and laptop in the Windows world.

Thanks,
Lloyd

no issue.  I think many of us are in the same boat.  I know I am (iMac & Spectraview 27)

This is exactly the setup I'm using, zero issues.

Good! Thanks for the replies, Howard and Andrew. I have both SV and Profiler installed on my desktop. But, I only use Profiler for printer profiles and disabled the xrite LUT loader.

No need for any LUT loader's on a Mac.
