That is potentially good very news.  Let's hope they wash the last few weeks away, and welcome everyone back on board with a clean slate -- reach out to those individuals -- and see if they can get things back on track.  It may still be doable.  And  if they acheive it, hats off to them.

It'll be interesting to see if they allow open and free discussions this time around.

I'll let you know if I get my personal Welcome Back email <g>. Mark, James, Schewe etc, keep us posted if you get an invite (and then, would you want to???).

I wonder if the new format is a single forum "Why I love (advertisers name here) products

I don't expect from people who banned about 20 forum members for nothing to come up with a "clean slate"... nonetheless i'll be happy to see that happening.

I get the feeling that people are thinking that the old owners will still be the new stewards  so I went to the Galbraith web site and clipped out the following...

We're making really good progress in finding a suitable new owner and anticipate being able to announce the reopening of the forums under new stewardship by April 20, 2006.

Who can tell how the new steward(s) will run the place?

Robert, agree entirely.  Since we still have time to hope, I was expressing the hope that  the new "stewards" would be interested in taking on this somewhat thankless task because -- at least in part -- they appreciated the value of RG at its best and would work to bring that back up to speed before it was lost for good.  Maybe just wishful thinking (on a series of fronts), but why not.

And I'm not suggesting that LL is not equally valuable -- it is.  It's just different and serves a different purpose/audience than RG did before it went over the edge.
