I love finding stuff like this too but in this case is te silver too dominant? It does rather glare at me destroying the road surface which it probably needs for contrast.

I like it the way it is because I think it is that undulating sparkling light which is the dominant and most important element. Forget the twelve days Xmas, let's ask for more Glitz on black.

The competing geometry and subtle colors are intriguing. The sight of a cheerful holiday bag laying flat in the wet pavement evokes a gentle poignancy. There's a story.

The very thing that strikes me is the barcode at the bottom of the bag: it screams money and for me it gives the meaning to the image.

Theres a lot "going on" in that image I  must say   from the "ponds" and droplets of water to the Barcode, to the leaves..and the nearly invisible minute stars embedded in the surface of the silver bag. It presented quite the Cornucopia of textures

I found this on a local driveway where it remained for several days.

Thank you.

And Michael, let's not forget your excellent choice of square format and oblique positioning of your subject!

The mysteries and question it evokes remind me of one of my own favorite "found object" photos from a couple of years ago.

Maybe the gloves are searching for the silver bag?

Am I little weird if I think of a crime, looking at this shot?
Beautiful shot, indeed.

Love the handbag shot. And Eric's image is a stunner as well - there's some 'street' in there too.
