They had a majority, and when I was at POCP last month it was talked about like it was old news.  I guess they finally got all the legal paperwork done.

It is old news, but hopefully the integration between back and body will continue to improve, and maybe we could see digital rangefinder Mamiyas ...

Phase One already had 45% of MDI since 2009 according to the press release as quoted at http://www.dpreview.com/articles/1970037207/phase-one-buys-mamiya-gains-ownership-of-camera-and-lens-production

Phase One did NOT have a majority or controlling interest in Mamiya until recently. (Despite the repeated assertions at this site and others.)
 
They had a 45% interest in Mamiya as stated above.
