I am an ex-RG member and a new poster here. After being really comfortable there, I guess I feel like my home just blew away.

I was totally unaware of the problems on the MF forum and never had I observed any heavy handed censorship or anything untoward for that matter. In fact, I would prefer there be some solid management to prevent the influx of idiots that took over dpreview for instance.

Over the years I learned a lot on RG's board in my transformation for film to digital. I thought the topic headings were bang on. If I had a question with my cameras, lenses, or new Mac, I knew where to go. I am sure I will learn this board too but you know the thing about comfort zones etc.

I am looking forward to getting to know some of you here and hopefully I can be of help along the way as well.

All the best,
John Lund
