Perhaps the forum here could add a Photojournalism area for some of the refugees. We are RG are all types of shooters, but there are some photojournalists.
RG did not demise, its more like undergoing meta morphosis. Will it be a butterfly or Godzillla? ;-) I dont know, but I will find out. RG has stood out as a place where pro shooters could problem solve, and industry reps could visit and interact.
I shoot some landscape work, and have about two exhibitions a year, but Im also a full-time pro and RG was a best match of expertise and friendly folks who were knowledgeable.
I also like LL for my fine art surfing, and to argue 'what is art,' but lots of times, I need to FTP my assignments to NY and hit a snag, so its off to RG I would go ...to learn and have comraderie with other folks.
RG, to me, was more useful than DP review, except for DP's camera reviews and tests, and more pro / technical / corp-arch-PJ than here where art seems to be the topic de jour. I do enjoy coming here, just a different flavor, and rightly so.
Wishing You Great Light!
