A  juxtaposition or just a position the guy didn't see?

Great moment Stamper, I do feel it could do with a (tiny bit) less foreground, even though the lines in there point nicely towards where the action is and have good symmetry.  I think the relative size of the foreground is what prevents my eyes from firmly focussing on the main event.

Cheers, Sander

Thanks for the feedback. In the past when I posted an image the long side was 1200 pixels which meant it appeared too large. Initially I posted this image at 1200 pixels but then remembered about another post suggesting that 800 pixels was better. I then re posted the image at 800 pixels but now it looks softer than the larger 1200 pixel image. Life isn't simple. ::)

What I don't understand is why some pictures come up inside the post and others come up in a separate window. The separate window is never a problem because the software sizes the picture within the window. The stuff that comes up inside the post doesn't get re-sized, so you can end up having to scroll to see the whole thing. Bring up the joke I posted in "Still Life." Unless I'm mistaken it'll come up in a separate window. Change the size of the window and watch the picture change size automatically. I'd like to understand the difference between that and this.

Russ, I've been asking this for some time. I think the rule has changed with the recent changes to forum software. I'm not sure what it was before, but I think that now an uploaded photo with one side longer than 1,200 pixels will open in a new window.

Jeremy
I suspect the old limit was 1000 pixels, as I never had to scroll any images before the recent forum software upgrade.
I wish it could be changed back to 1000 pixels.

Hi Jeremy, Eric, I suspect you're right. It's too bad because the separate window handles things very nicely; the internal display is crappy.
