I wish to thank all responders to this post. I think the trip is put off for now as my wife's back is giving her constant and increased pain she has lived with this for the past 50 years but now the pain is intense enough that a 2-4 hr.car trip would be terribly uncomfortable for her (and me). The other reason is the plummeting Canadian dollar where it is now costing $2.25 can. per 1 pound makes it a very expensive trip.
It is a trip that we still want to take but I might break it down to two trips one for Wales 14-18 days and one for Scotland 21-28 days.
