Antelope Valley Storm and Power Lines
« on: November 19, 2015, 12:21:36 pm »

Anyone who's been through the Antelope Valley knows how barren and boring it can be in most places, even when the weather starts to get interesting. This was shot on just south of Jawbone Canyon, looking SE.  When all around you is uninteresting, look up.

I love it! There's some elegance in the way the power lines "split" the sky. The light beams seem to deform the left lines like wind in sails… It's a grandiose shot! Now, The only minor issue is the halos around the electrical poles.

Thanks!  It was a case of lemonade out of lemons.  If you've ever been around the Jawbone Canyon area, you know there's just nothing to shoot.

To tell you the truth, I never been in Jawbone Canyon. I always stopped near/in Mojave or Edwards.
Sometimes, having nothing to photograph is a good thing, after all!
