FS: Contax 80mm remounted for Phase One / Mamiya
« on: November 18, 2015, 04:50:12 pm »

I'm selling this lens to finance the purchase of an engagement ring. So I'm open to reasonable offers.

-- Actual lens shown on a Phase One XF but also compatible with AF, DF, DF+, AFD1, AFD2, and AFD3.

Price is $1850 OBO.

- No Autofocus (but you still get focus confirmation when manually focusing if the body supports it)
- No Aperture control (only shoots wide open, but why else would you buy this lens??)
- Optically lens is excellent; glad to share raw files.
- Cosmetically the lens is fair, with some chips in the paint (abrasion/age not impact).

Read more about the lens here: https://digitaltransitions.com/blog/dt-blog/fast-portrait-lens-phase-one

-- Actual image from this lens. Glad to provide raw files to serious inquiries.

If you don't hang out on the Medium format threads you may not know me. I have 3000+ posts here and work for Digital Transitions the Phase One Dealer (though this sale is mine personally). I'm glad to provide references if desired.

You'd suggest keeping the Contax lens and dropping the girl?  ::)

Raw files (including a backlight and flare-producing light setup) are here:

iPhone photos of this lens and the other I am selling at the moment (Hassy V mount 110 f/2) are here:
https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B0NQhIQQVmsFWjNnb2JUcnNHM28&usp=sharing

It's not easy to show but there is some dust on the inside of the body. I see no evidence it is affecting performance of the lens, but check out the raw files to make up your own mind.
