Jeremy  - there are a lot nice elements in the frame - don't think they are all supportive and make cohesive whole. Right off the bat - the lower 1/5th could be cropped I think...it's very choppy visually and not that interesting and takes away from the nice bluff and cloud. Will pm additional. /B

Have to agree with Brandt. I like the rendering, but as for the composition, I would consider this the beginning of an intriguing potential subject warranting further investigation. Probably not helpful, but there it is.

I think that a crop, top and bottom, would make it a fine image. I like the processing.

Brandt - thanks for the pm: please feel free to post any reworking you do of my shots in the thread so they can be seen and contribute to the discussion (I know some people object to that but as I've indicated I find that posture incomprehensible). I find your crop a little brutal; though I see what you're aiming for, it seems to me to remove context.

Very fine as-is. Excellent, actually. Bravo!

Thanks!

..a crop just above the far horizon (just below the two tarn pieces to right) really allow this to shine in a monumental way...like it very much.

I would not crop it, at least not the bottom. It adds the context (eg Arizona desert) which makes it unusual, as in you don't see too often those rocks covered in clouds. It already is a good shot and the context only adds to it.

I wouldn't crop it either. BTW, great b/w processing!
