Late afternoon on the beach
« on: November 09, 2015, 04:36:42 am »

Just a few shots from the beach near my home, in Carcavelos. I managed to take a couple of hours off just to do some shooting with my new "toy", the Zeiss Batis 25. A truly fine lens.

really fine for my taste.
Optical quality (transitions, colours, acutance) well serve the pleasurable and well composed images.
all the best,

Very nice, especially the third one. I am also jealous of both your proximity to this beautiful beach and your new Batis 25 ;). Looks like your enjoying both.

Beautiful pictures.
Second one with fading waves and surfers is my favourite.

Thanks everyone for the comments. I was lucky with #2, because the surfer was actually preparing to leave at the end of the day. He left the board on the sand and went to the water to take off his suit and clean up from the sand. The exposure was 1 minute, and he was right in front of me.

Some more shots and thoughts here:

These are all very nice, Paulo. In addition to the 3d one above, I particularly like the black and white "The Horizon" on your blog.

Nice set.  I can't really pick a favorite as they all do something quite different.
