For sale is Voigtlander APO-Lantar 125/2.5 lens in EOS mount. LN condition in box & papers, all original accessories (metal front cap, ebony rear cap, metal hood with rubber cap) included. Lens has an issue - do to its age internal wiring works unstable, diaphragm may not open properly sometimes (causing lens communication error). So it may need repair/CLA if you need it for serious work.

Choukorov and ican - look at the ebay history on this item. In all mounts these are selling for at least twice their initial price. When I was shopping this Feb. for this exact item, the prices were hovering around $1,800.00 to $2,000.00. In the aggregate, Ebay selling prices probably represent true market value plus the Ebay surcharge.

I will endorse this 125mm ApoLanthar as the most gorgeous 1:1 macro lens, and a pleasure to focus with its very long focus throw. Sharp, and lovely bokeh - great fun to shoot wide open as well as stopped down. Curiously, the center focus point confirmation on my 6D does not work with this lens, but the other 10 points are happy.

Yet another endorsement for this wonderful lens.

Quite a few years ago I bought what I believe was the last new one for Canon that Stephen Gandy had for sale .... and I seem to remember paying something like $380(?) for it  and much later sold it to help fund a Leica 240 for around $2300 .... first and only time for me that a lens has returned that sort "profit" ... but have regretted it ever since.

Given the prices that they now fetch I eventually 'replaced' it with the Zeiss 135 which I greatly enjoy but would trade for a good CV 125 in a heartbeat - it is that good in my view .... both as a telephoto lens in the same league as the Zeiss but as a magnificent macro lens as well  ... and the portraits from it can be stunning.
