4800 won't sheet feed
« on: November 05, 2015, 03:06:11 pm »

I have an epson 4800 that won't properly sheet feed.  Even if it manages to catch hold of the paper and feed it, and it looks like it's aligned, the head will make one pass then says "reload paper."  Has anyone experienced this or have any ideas?

Thanks.

If the main problem is only catching properly, it is probable the feed mechanism.

However, I have had paper that was not cut square....which is a pain.

Got it replaced, but you can turn off the alignment check and it should then feed and print.

Thank you John.
It's been so many years since I've had to do anything to this printer that I cant locate the manual.  Can you tell me how to turn off the alignment check?

I've gone through everything and still haven't figured out how to turn off alignment.
