Sony A7R2 - Disabling highlight warning AND camera shake warning in (A) mode

Hi, Just bought above camera and driven mad by blink its and the camera shake icon that keep s flashing. Anybody worked out how to switch them off? Regards

I didn't even know the camera had a blinking shake warning until now.  I only shoot in manual mode and it's not present there.  I switched the camera to aperture and yes there is an annoying shake warning and there does not appear to be a way to turn it off other than by changing the exposure values to the point where the camera no longer thinks there is the risk of shake.  For aperture priority shooters I can see where this would be annoying but if youa re willing to shoot in manual that icon isnt even there, not even in nonblinking mode.

As for highlight warning, clearly there is a way to turn it off because my camera doesn't do it (only in histogram mode in image review do i get highlight blinkies) or perhaps are you referring to zebras?  If so, simply turn zebras off.

Hi, Thx for the feedback. I use manual and (A) mode about 50:50, and 90% of the time the camera is on the tripod, hence the frustration with the camera shake thing! I am not referring to zebra (I have that switched off) and as an ex-Canon, Nikon and Phase guy figured it would be a simple choice/action to have blinks on or off. If it's not possible to disable these functions and I'm the only guy these things are frustrating, then Sony isn't going to do anything with it anytime soon!

Blinkies are only shown with histogram on review - they're not on if viewing image fullscreen or with less data showing.

I guess I'm a bit confused.  As I said, in shooting mode, live view, there are no blinkies, at least not on my camera.  It is only in image playback mode and then only in the histogram view.  Are you saying you have blinkies in your viewfinder in shooting (live view) mode?  If yes, then you have enabled something that I have yet to find in the jumbled up menu system.  I am not able to make blinkies appear in the live view shooting mode on any screen in any circumstance.

Is it possible you are interpreting focus peaking displays as blinkies by chance?

Hi, It seems the lack of precision on my part has caused the confusion...the blinkies are those that appear when reviewing with histogram on. I prefer to read the histogram without them but guess I will have to adapt to compensate. Same with the camera shake jobbie. Thx for the feedback. Regards Denis

OK, now we are on the same page.  There is no way to turn those off.  If you want to review the image without blinkies, you would simply have to click up or down one screen and then back to the histo.
