Fantastic photos. To my eyes, there is a bit of aggressive sharpening on some, even some haloing (i.e. #3).

Great stuff. You caught a great moment in "wild west". Some slightly odd colours, perhaps? (I'm thinking of the second in particular).

You most certainly master your media, no question about it.
Maybe it is the age, I do not know, but all these processed landscapes are starting to wear me out.
It is like the pictures were screaming all the time and I go out looking for peace and silence.

This is a question of taste and what each one of is looking for in his particular state of mind.
Just saying. Lowering the contrast on my own pictures nowadays and sharpening less.

I'd really like to vist NZ but why are you so far away?

I spent a few weeks in NZ several decades ago (!) and the countryside is amazingly beautiful and varied. Meaning no disrespect, the land can speak for itself, needs less enhancement. Quiet drama is drama nonetheless...

It's purely a matter of taste I know, but FWIW, +1 on the comments of `gbdz' & `Marco' above.  I prefer the kind of subtle impact that lingers over the immediate, attention grabbing kind.  But that takes time and,  with so much competition for our attention, maybe it's a luxury few can afford.

All very wonderful images. The colors are vibrant. For me they are representative of the shooters photographic expression and vision.

Thanks everyone, this set intentionally over processed for a reason, thanks for the comments!

What was the reason?

I find them too over-processed for my taste, but they are great images. Are the images going to be published in a magazine or pitched to an advertiser who wants high "clarity", high saturation / vibrance images? (I am a not too sophisticated Lightroom user, so I think in those terms). The last image of the waterfall / creek fits my "must visit NZ someday" profile.

These photos exemplify the reason I've not travelled to NZ (yet!). I'm afraid I might never leave!
