I'm looking for good 50 mm shift alternative to the Canon 45 TS E and wanted to hear from anyone using latest Pentax 645 FA lenses how to
set aperture without having 645 body available. Looking at Kipon products and appears there's no electronic interface. Is Mirex the same?

Why not look at a mamiya 50mm shift? Completely manual and image quality is great. Pretty cheap used too.
I presume you want to use it with a canon body?

Hi mate,

The most current (digitally optimized) Pentax 645 lenses are designated D FA.

DFA don't have an aperture ring
FA series has an aperture ring.

The DFA image circles are also slightly smaller than the previous FA series.

Neither the Mirex or Zork adapters have electronic contacts so you cannot control the aperture this way.
There is a manual leaver on the rear mount that controls the aperture, so I suppose you could stick this at a particular point?

I'm also interested in this, so let me know how you go.

Cheers

You could use a Zoerk shift adapter with a Pentax 645 55mm A lens (manual with aperture ring) or Pentax  67 55mm lens; both lenses are excellent.

I have the Zoerk in Canon/Pentax 645 mount and a 645 55mm A lens I'm willing to sell, if interested, pm me.
