Escalante Path (Mono)
« on: October 17, 2015, 10:12:38 pm »

The beauty of a morning in the desert. A river runs through the land and the soft caress of the coolness as Autumn greets another day.

Great lines and textures and the processing is great. Love it!

Splendid! You must have been a happy man when you pressed the shutter?

As is often the case with autumn B&Ws, there is a lot of highlight competition making the photograph chaotic except for the "pathway" you've composed around and the structure of the cliff. This is a compliment, as you've captured so well the way autumn can be with bright colours and clouds; but it is also a criticism in that the highlights are definitely all shouting for attention. Perhaps with some total details in the clouds, my eye won't be sucked in there as quickly.
