Multimillion-dollar photo of Billy the Kid playing croquet was $2 junk shop find.

The image, unearthed in Fresno, California, is only the second confirmed picture of the outlaw – the other sold for $2.3m in 2011.

How did he get that bad rap as a killer, when he was merely a croquet shark?

It is one of those most ironical images. I don't know what to think, maybe it is more valuable because it gives a different perspective on a very dominant Hollywood story.
