A wryly cynical comment:

I think there are even teens that are cynical about their own current popular music as evidenced in this video...

I think young folks listen to his kind of music just for the sonic buzz only to enhance their already inebriated buzzed minds. I know I'ld have to be drunk to listen to this... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ebXbLfLACGM

You would not believe how many Calvin Harris trending notices show up in my online email provider's home page. I love electronica but not his kind.

Nice "Mamas and the Papas" video find, Rob. I was 8 years old back then and missed all that high quality video of a lot of groups I'm now getting to see for the first time online. Even "Midnight Special" I used to tune into in the mid '70's on my folk's old Motorola color TV couldn't do these groups justice.

More like that there are people who so stupid, that they complain about the artist they have paid to listen to.
Not to mention not all young people like the same music.

Congratulations, you are now officially a grumpy old person and no longer in touch with the yoof.  ;) Besides the whole point of listening to any music is for the 'sonic buzz'.

But lots of other people do rather obviously.  :P
And that's dance music, not electronica which is a term so vague it's meaningless.

This one's key (one of several) to an entire world of wheels-music:

Love the rhythms; very comforting!

You seem to have a penchant for pointing out the obvious with a contentious bent that masquerades as an original thought. I still don't know what your point is correcting every little minor point I make about music. I always come away from your responses asking why is he telling me things I already know while making it sound like an admonishment.

Dance music is not Electronica? People are too stupid to pay to attend a concert in order to tell the artist he's a sell out?...who gives a shit? Come up with something interesting will ya'?

You seem to be taking things a bit too seriously it would seem Tim.
I have a penchant for pointing out the contradictions of people's posts actually.

What you may think is a minor point also may be anything but. Electronica, like EDM is daft American tautological term that is too vague and all encompassing to mean anything. It's like saying guitarica to describe any music played on a guitar. Two American neologisms given to music they discovered 20/30 years after Europe did and which already had more genre specific names. Ironic really since house and techno came from Chicago and Detroit respectively and are the antecedents of nearly all modern dance music today.
You are the one who posted a video of a Calvin Harris set, so obviously you care about what the content was. I just pointed out the audience member was the numpty and video was not helping your point that was being made. Not to mention your comments about needing to be drunk to listen  to a track by Calvin Harris music is such a typically out of touch thing to say by someone from a previous generation. Particularly as the track you slated would be seen as a fairly run of the mill pop song nowadays.
