The old red wagon
« on: October 03, 2015, 06:47:02 pm »

This old red farm wagon has certainly seen better days, but I can tell you it's still used regularly and hard, but judging from the cobwebs, not recently. (Same wagon as seen in http://forum.luminous-landscape.com/index.php?topic=104200.0.) I appreciate your viewing and welcome your comments and suggestions. Thank you, Bob.

I like the second one best. It shows me the passage of time, and of how nature starts to take over.

Looks like you had a good time exploring this wagon, Bob. I wonder if the "golden hour" is better used for bigger landscapes. Flat light or even B&W might do a good job on these details.

Thank you for your comments Paulo and Scott. I like the second one, too. fwiw, I tried b/w on the hub, and didn't find it appealing. I'll try again and see what happens.

I agree that the second one is the strongest in the set but beautiful light nonetheless. This looks like a fun exploration though! :D

Thanks Adhika. Wasn't that light great? I had gone for the sunset and clouds, but couldn't resist exploring this wagon.

Bob I don't think any of them have strong subjects. The light while probably nice will never bring these items above only being nominally interesting. I shoot a lot of rural ag.  machinery...not sure framing an axle/fairly recent tires and the beams as in 1st image really tells any story about this object no? Scott's comments I think are spot on...shoot under another lighting scenario....like flat e.g... may bring something needed here /B
