Yesterday, we made our first trip to the historic Nebo Loop. We drove down to this area on the recommendation of a kind, local photographer Sean Camp. Sean lives in Salt Lake and has been more than helpful, sharing information with us and telling us where to go. At first when we started driving, we were ho-hum considering our recent trip to Big Cottonwood but as we started to really get into the mountains things...changed. I mean, just huge, sweeping mouth watering vistas that stunned you into submission! The mountains thundered with the foliage and Lute and I realized we had entered into another holy cathedral of Utah Nature. Open expanses, wild skies and the colors of Autumn embracing it all. The aspens doing their dance with the wind, winking at you like a long lost lover. And up we went even higher into it all, crossing 9500 ft, silent as we looked down into the beautiful abyss. This offering of our attempt to trap this wild beast of a land may fall short of the overall glory, but trust us when we say we will be back again one day to take it all in.
