Hello everyone,

Any sights of Johannes Hartje from DHW with forum name DHW-JHartje here still???

I was trying to contact him for an inquiry of Rollei Hy6 but wasn't sure if he is still here.

Also I noticed the company has changed its name one year ago to DW Photo GmbH..... but their website is still the DHW one......

Does it mean that all the H(artje) people are out of the company? I'm curious to the story behind and how it would affect us the end users...

Thanks!

On the last episode of the Colbert Report he started with
"Folks, if this is your first time tuning into the Colbert Report, I have some terrible news"

Along those veins... Rollie/DHW is for most intents and purposes, gone. They previously went through a few restructuring and other forms of near death. But it seems this time the verdict is quite final; most of the factory was sold off at auction.

I would suggest if you want to buy a Hy6, despite the company's fate, that you contact Eric Hiss (see the thread above). He is on the forum and still active.

It's a shame. It was a company full of talented, passionate people. I hope they all ended up landing on their feet.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

I still think killing the Hy6 was one of the worst decisions Phase ever made.

Some of the employees have set up in the same building.

This seems to be a phone number for them.

Not sure if he is still actively following this forum but DW Photo, the successor company to DHW Fototechnik, is certainly not dead and the same goes for the Hy6.
More information and contact details can be found on my webpages under http://www.rolleiflexpages.com

Pascal, thanks for the update!

I guess I would like to be positive but it has got to be an enormous challenge to start producing the Hy6 again given that all of the machinery was sold and given that they don't own the brand name...

Still, it is extremely good news that in the meanwhile the continue servicing existing cameras.

Do you happen to know whether they still upgrade from Mod1 to Mod2?
