Getting older
« on: October 02, 2015, 02:00:56 pm »

I'm not sure where I should make this post.

I've just got a new computer. I've colour calibrated it and I've just got some new reading glasses.

During the day my posted images seem fine, at night in a darkened environment I expected my images to"pop" but they appear to be "flat". What am I missing, is it just old age?

Cheers,

my initial guess would be that the monitor has automatic brightness turned on.  It adjusts the monitor based on ambient.

Automatic brightness, a new feature that I don't want. I've just had my eyes tested and everything seems fine taking into account getting older.

Thank you Howard for the help!
