An Update From Bill Claff
« on: September 18, 2015, 09:22:30 pm »

Hi!
I haven't been active on Luminous Landscape recently but wanted to pass some things along.

My web site has move and the old URLs will probably stop working soon.
So if you have links or references to home.comcast.net/~nikond70 you may want to update them.
The new location is www.PhotonsToPhotos.net

I have added a lot more content including data similar to that you might customarily get at sensorgen.info

And I'm still gathering data from people who are willing to contribute the appropriate files.
If you want to pitch in email is best but private message works too.

:-)

I just want to follow up with a quick note about my site move.

Comcast has discontinued my site but the 301 forwarding still seems to be working.
Updating links from home.comcast.net/~nikond70 to www.photonstophotos.net is still advisable.
The forwarding may die at any time.

I have been thinking about ways to better keep in touch with people regarding my site.
Although it's "dated" technology I'm considering an RSS Feed since there are no login requirements.
I would really like some feedback before making any effort into putting something in place.
What do you think?

If I had had a notification mechanism visitors would have been aware of a couple of things.

One is that the export option on my charts was broken for about a week.
(Highcharts changed something and I need to revise all the charts.)

Another is that I just published a new article and interactive chart.
http://www.photonstophotos.net/GeneralTopics/Exposure/The_Exposure_Waterfall_-_A_Simple_Graphical_Explanation_of_Exposure.htm
http://www.photonstophotos.net/Charts/Exposure_Waterfall.htm

You are always welcome to send email rather than private messages.
This is actually easier for me because I can organize everything in one place.

Regards,
Bill
