3880 Marks on print-photo
« on: September 12, 2015, 01:26:52 pm »

Anyone gotten these marks from a 3880 or 3800?. The marks are perpendicular to the direction of paper travel. Did you determine the cause? Was it correctable?
This is on Canson Baryta Photo, which has gone through this printer without issue until now. Printer is 8 months old, with light use.
Thanks, in advance, if you have any info!

Light use is the key to this.
Do a nozzle clean - ought to fix it.

You have some clogged nozzles.

do an 'auto' (NOT manual) nozzle check from the front panel of the printer.  It'll analyze the problem and clean the required nozzles.

I was convinced that the marks were physical impressions or scratches on the paper, like rollers grinding into the paper surface.  But close examination reveals that they have no texture, and are all in the ink.  Thanks for the suggestions.

nope.

I'd guess some light black and/or cyan is the culprit.
