36 inch wide photo inkjet printers
« on: September 10, 2015, 07:17:24 am »

Are there any 36" photo inkjet printers on the market.  If there is a choice, any recommendations?

Thanks,
Brian

I only know of 24" or 44" (or 60"). Nothing in 36". I think you'll need to get a 44" and load it with 36" paper.

HP Z6200 more or less falls in the category photo inkjet printer and exists as a 42" wide too. HP has some wide formats at 36" but they do npt really belong in that category.

Some time ago I ordered a 36" roll of Canson BFK Rives and got the comment that the industry in general wants to cut the production of 36" rolls. I was surprised by that comment and not happy about it either. Using 44"printers here but there is economy in having 44", 36" and even 24" rolls depending on the job. The BFK roll was delivered BTW.

Met vriendelijke groet, Ernst

Schewe is correct.  Photo printers are only made in 24", 44" and 60" (some 64").  36" is only in the technical area.
What are you looking to print and what type of media?

Thanks guys for your replies.  I have a 24" HP z3100 and I'll have to stay with 24" printers because of lack of room.  Maybe I can print on vinyl and stretch it a bit.

Cheers,
Brian
