Which means beautiful fall weather for photography. But not until we get through a heat wave the next four days (Boston).   :(

We're now consistently below 100F here in Carefree, AZ. Morning lows in the low 70s are a hint of fall coming along in the next month or so.

One good thing about the American Fall is that some good TV series are returning.

A reminder of one of the bad things about spring in Australia, magpie season. It starts off slow but you will get the idea, fifty seconds is probably the start.

Cheers,

Oh, it seems to be worst in Victoria, I don't know if it's a Sydney, Collingwood thing!

True enough, but fall means colorful foliage, muted overcast light with the attendant saturated colors, and an escape from the mosq

A reminder, I'm happy to see the end of winter. Spring in Sydney is a joy.

However, if you want to enjoy the top end of Australia then winter is the time to visit. I was just in Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef, expensive but lovely. The LuLa guys have visited the Kimberley in winter too. Yulara in Central Australia is also great in winter. The Aussie dollar is starting to tank, maybe a good time to think about visiting.

I'm just thinking of world class seafood tomorrow at the Sydney Fish Market, yum!

Smart cookies Magpies. Round here they stalk the cats, hopping along behind them, knowing just how far to stay away to remain safe, there's usually one that does it while the others watch. Why do they do that if not for the craic? Drives the cats mad!

And autumn has arrived here, with really nice light at more reasonable times in the morning  :)
