Sigma DP1M assigning wrong time/date in exif data.
« on: September 02, 2015, 11:45:16 am »

Downloading a few images form DP1M today noticed that files taken over weekend had 2102 dates in EXIF; looking back over un-erased files on SD card this was happening between March and today - seemed OK before then. Put the card back in camera to check not SPP issue but also showed wrong date in camera. Also checked camera time/date setting which was correct. Also just took test picture today and correct date assigned.
Mystery?

Hi Nigel,

This happened to me several times with both DP1M and DP2M, I think it may have happened because they were both without a battery for a longer period.

How that would cause only the date/time setting and not all the other settings to default is of course mysterious...

Then again, they are mysterious li'l black bricks anyway, but when it all works out....gorgeous results, I'm thinking seriously about a DP3M as well now that the price are seriously low.

Kind Regards, Sander

I wish!

Nigel,

Thanks for taking my quip in the spirit intended.  I own all three DPMs but have not experienced this (yet).
