Moonset and tree, Vineyard Road, Paso Robles

We awoke a wee bit too late to capture the massive (if brief) color yesterday morning, having planned to make it to MDO state beaches. A backup would have to do, and, although we missed the color, the setting full moon was a monster. The trees on Vineyard Road outside of Paso Robles have never disappointed.  Looks great blown up, but I'm going to play around with darkening the moon just a bit to see if some more detail can't be achieved.

Did you try any other compositions? I'd love to see a tighter shot with the moon in that opening at the lower left of the tree. Or the open space to the right of the tree. Not to say this is a bad composition but it seems there would be been several options unless you are locked into your spot.

The problem was the moon was setting, light was changing, and I didn't really have the time (or inclination) to get down in the dirt of the freshly plowed (and wet) field I was standing in.

I have some other comps, but they're substantially similar to this one.
