Hasselblad H3D-II 31 vs. H2F-II CF39
« on: August 31, 2015, 09:43:06 am »

Hi guys
I have a H3D-II with an 31 back and I'm quite happy with it (except that the display on the back flickers at startup but it goes away after 2-3 minutes). Now I wanted a backup cam since those midformat cams can be quite bitchy sometimes... I bought a H2F-II CF39 but it I can't get it to work with Phocus.I assume the firewire port is faulty...I tried everything..new firmware etc.
Now I could give it back to the seller but I could also send it to Sweden to have it fixed for probably about 500$.. My question is...is this cam/back worth investing in? I know the H3D-II 31 isn't much older but is there a big difference between those backs (except better display, no external battery needed, crop sensor) or is it more or less the same with just more pixels? Is the CF39 the better back than the 31?
Thanks for your help
Gabriel
