Choosing lenses for digital view camera
« on: March 11, 2006, 01:38:27 pm »

Very interesting to read about Michaels new Linhof / Rodenstock setup. I am in the process of deciding which lenses to buy for my P45.

I chose the Cambo Ultima 23 with sliding back as my camera (only for studio) and started out with the Schneider Apo-Digitar 120mm/5,6 Macro as the primary lens for table top photos. This lens was chosen only because my supplyer recomended it as a sharper lens instead of the normal 120mm digitar.

I need a wider lens, maybe a 60mm. But I do not have the opportunity to try out the lens before I buy, because no supplyer in Denmark have any of these lenses (Rodenstock or Schneider) on stock and will not have because of low sale.

How do you choose which lens is the best based on the datasheet ????
