Inquiry Phase one P30
« on: August 18, 2015, 04:31:14 am »

I have recently purchased a Phase one P30 back - H mount, and the user manual is saying that lowest ISO is 50 yet mine starts with 100,
is there a way to activate ISO 50?

Note: the back has the latest firmware update

Thank You

You have the wrong manual or the manual had a typo.

P30 base ISO was 100.

Source is Phase One Archive:
P 30 data sheet
Edition July 2005. Data sheet for P 30 digital back.
Sensitivity ISO: 50, 100, 200, 400, 800

https://www.phaseone.com/en/SupportMain/Manuals/Manuals_Archive.aspx

Or you could try the same data sheet from Capture integration:
https://captureintegration.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/P-30-Datasheet.pdf

The P30+ did start at base 100 I understand.
Has the OP a back that has been upgraded? I don't recall if that was possible ISTR it was.

If you power on: Menu: Configuration: Scroll down to :About that shows the camera rather than relying on the printed logo.

The base ISO of a p30 non plus is 100. Anything stating differently (including the documents you linked to) is a typo.

Indeed they are, a long standing error never corrected:

This is a mistake made by our marketing dept, for that I do apologize.
It has been communicated out to all dealers of Phase One camera backs so the right information is communicated all potential customers.
As it has been clarified before, I will clarify it again.
P30 is using microlens technology where by sensitivity has been boosted on f-stop. This means that P30 have a native sensitivity 100 to 800 ISO while all other backs have sensitivity range between 50 and 400 ISO.

Thank you for the clarification, just shows there are some factual errors on the web, who would have thought  :D
