I suppose the question is, will he move to the left or the right? That ambiguity is what makes it street  ;)

And Russ, just to be clear, I'm taking the piss*

Just my opinion (take it with a grain of salt), I think the picture would have more impact if you cropped it just below the kid's shirt. Just showing the shadows, to me, is more mysterious--even haunting. After that, it'd be interesting to see if you flipped it vertically so the shadows are facing up. Of course then the photo will not qualify as a "street" photo so much as an "art" photo.

I like it so far, but what happened to "LOAD?" I think that word makes the picture more "loaded."  Maybe crop just a bit more from the bottom so all that is shown is clear silhouettes of feet/legs/etc. What do you think?

Bob,

I thought about LOAD but when you flip it, it's spelled upside down - a giveaway, you think? I would have left it in otherwise, for the reason you suggest.Would you put it back, upside down and all? It does add something. I kind of like the mysterious figures at the bottom and tend to leave well enough alone.

Anyway, I thank you for your suggestion - I think it's fantastically imaginative and has turned a routine shot into something altogether different.

Regards,

Seamus

Maybe try cloning out the letters "L" and "D," while keeping either the "A" or the "O"  (or removing the A and putting in another O). I think there needs to be an element in the upper left of the figure to balance out the composition. It's an interesting photo.

Seamus, I think it's a very good shot but I'd try and get some light into at least the boy and probably the crowd to make it more human but keep the harsh shadows. The boy's shadow is so lovely and screams dancing which I assume he isn't.
