Aged looking paper for inkjet, suggestions?
« on: August 14, 2015, 11:09:52 am »

Hello,
Any suggestions on a aged looking paper, ideally something archival, that could be run through an inkjet printer?  I'm looking for something on a 42"- 44" wide roll that looks similar to an aged book paper.  I know coating different types of print making paper with ink aid could be an option, but I'm wondering if there are any manufacturers that people are aware of.  Any info would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

Scan an old white page of a book and use that as a base layer in PS. Use OBA free A-C or cotton papers that already have a warm color but will stand time. Start with newspaper left overs from your local newsprinter company. usually that paper ages within a fortnight, the image quality will resemble old print too. 3" cores with thick walls though and you have to saw the roll to the right width. Some will suggest that a spilled cup of tea does wonders too.

Met vriendelijke groet, Ernst
