I think the photo stands on its own. The graphics are interesting, but they take away from the picture. The concept shows a lot of potential, but not for this image. ... just an opinion.

I agree, I am not sure I understand the purpose of the graphics on the right.

What was your intention about them?

I think the graphics have become sort of a signature for Bruce. But I agree that the moth doesn't need them.

This one works very well for me, much to my own surprise.

The problem with the first version is that the whole moth is so striking that the graphics seem like a distraction. But in the second version, the wing pattern and the graphics speak to each other.
