Very good images.

In #2, I would level the horizon.

+1, Your processing is beautiful, and the composition of photo #1 is very appealing.

Very nicely done, both of them. The bird on the highest pinnacle of the second one is a bonus. The Oregon coast is indeed a fabulous place, and one that lends itself to photography. It tends to be (sometimes very) windy in the summer, so I hope you were there during during a break between the bigger blows.

Thank goodness no one suggested "opening up the shadows". These are more than "records" - beautifully seen, captured and processed. A fine set for any wall!

I love the silhouetted pinnacles, the lack of detail in the shadows gives a special atmosphere to that place, almost mystical.

Very nice work Chuck.

I'm not normally into blurred clouds / water but they work really well in these images.

Very good images.

In #2, I would level the horizon.

And I would crop a small part (1/6) of the foreground.

But very well captured and processed.

You should open up the shadows  ;D

Seriously, number one is superb. Number two is good, but I'd worry that the water is going to flow off to one side if it isn't hung at an angle.

Thanks for the complements and input everyone. I'm planning another trip to the same location (Bandon Beach), and going further north along the coast next year.

Quietly uneasy as presented, once leveled number 2 becomes a sublime and serene contemplative. Lovely
