Ghost dog
« on: August 10, 2015, 10:20:34 am »

I was at a nearby lake (Blue Mesa Reservoir) with family over the weekend and decided to get out the ND filter for some cloud and water shots.
I set up and clicked the shutter for this one and my dog wandered into the shot. She was focused on my son paddling around on the lake and just stood still in two spots for most of the 30s exposure. I was happy with how it came out; I know I couldn't have posed her better on purpose.

I like the concept. There are some loose ends. It's easy to get lost in other parts of the picture. The side and front of a dog are more appealing than the rear end.

Thanks, and good point. If she was more obedient I'd try some different angles but there was a lot of luck involved in getting her in the image at all!

That's where an assistant comes in handy. Neat idea; stay with it.

Bob,

Are you volunteering to be Matt's new dog assistant?   ;D
