as it was noted elsewhere it is just repeat of what Fuji was doing before with some of their dSLRs for forensic customers, etc... extra niche market to pocket some money.

I used to own one of their IR compact cams. Must investigate this one.

Very funny, but accurate.  The X-T1 "as is" does pretty well with IR images with just a filter.
