LRCC panos not working
« on: July 29, 2015, 09:47:15 am »

I have tried merging several different panos, typically 3 at a time from Nikon D7100 raw nefs, and the preview looks fine. When I click on merge the progress bar goes to about 54% and then locks up the computer. I have to get to task mgr. to get the machine working again. The HDR merges work just fine.

I have a Win 7, I-7, 8g ram machine. I can get panos to work in PS CC with tiff or jpg files. It would be nice to do it all in LR. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Mike

The LR pano stitcher is really in the beta testing state and should not have been released. Sometimes it works fine, sometimes it produces wacky results, and sometimes it does not work at all.

Mike

I would try a Preference File reset and see if it will go past the 54% mark.

To reset preferences in LR 6/CC:

1. Close Lightroom
2. Hold down [Alt/Opt]+[Shift] and click the LR icon to launch.
3. Choose [Reset Preferences]

Will the Pano merge go past 54% now?

I turned of gpu accelerator and tried 3 other photos. It worked fine. I had already deleted the photos that wouldn't work. I haven't noticed any problems by not having the gpu working anyway so for now I'll just leave it off
