Help with 7900 and network
« on: July 29, 2015, 09:37:46 am »

My 7900 has been happily working on the network for quite a while. Then I installed a new router (to get better wifi range) and I cannot print. The problem, I think, is that the printer driver has the printer at 192.168.1.109 while the EpsonNet Config says the printer is at 192.168.1.108. I have tried setting the printer IP manually to 192.168.1.109 but that doesn't help - then EpsonNet says the printer has no IP address. The network works fine other than this problem. Thanks for any suggestions - I really need to make a print today!.

Well, I fixed the problem with the time-honored method of uninstalling then reinstalling the printer. Seems there should be an easier way!

the simpler sure-proof way is to assign the printer an IP address that is 'static' and do not let the router assign the address dynamically (ala DHCP).

DHCP and printers is very very often the cause of 'I can't print anymore' issues.
