pscs2 choice limit problem
« on: March 01, 2006, 09:28:47 am »

When I start work on a file with PSCS2 I notice that some of the choices in the various columns, file, edit, image, layers, filters and view are faint rather than black and consequently inaccessible, why is this and how can I remedy the problem?  Thanks,
Monik

I'm running CS and many options are unavailable when the image is 16bits vs. 8bit.  Goto Image >> Mode >> 8 bit.  That might be the cause.

Same thing if you use Lab mode. Many options a not accesssible in Lab. In the Edit menu, you must select a part of the image before you can copy/cut/paste and use other commands. Most of layer menu items are not available unless you have more than one layer.

Thanks Kelly and François, I certainly find these limits a nuisance as I like to work in 16 bit mode.

If you are using CS 2, then you shouldn't be as limited as with CS 1. Let's see if 16-bit support is better in CS 3
