Tiny Dancers
« on: July 26, 2015, 09:29:28 pm »

'Tis the season, I guess. This is another in my ongoing series of limited-focus flowers and flora. The tiny stamens of the Astilbe are just a few millimeters long, blending together at normal viewing distances, and are seldom seen as individuals keeping time with the breeze.
Thoughts and suggestions are appreciated.

Very well done. A lighter matte would be much better in this instance, I think.

Thanks, Rajan. You're right of course. I usually use a white border, but ill-advisedly, tried something closer to my background in PS this time. I've revised it here.

Another fantastically smooth shot, it's in the same league as the orange/yellow one you posted not long ago.
Bravo!

So pretty, it's almost abstract. I really like it.

Thanks a lot for all your kind comments.
David, yes, this one was also taken with the Olympus 60mm macro and E-M1. The light and absence of a breeze were favorable this morning, so I had another session with a different promising subject. Processing the images now.
